Oscar nominations

I've been teaching for 30 years and one of the best parts is the euphoria over my students' every accomplishment, small and large. And then this morning, the Oscar announcement, "Birdman" directed by Alejandro Iñárritu, and "Selma" directed by Ava DuVernay, nominated for Best Picture. Both Alejandro and Ava have been my students, and stayed in touch, I've worked with them both frequently. I treasure Ava and Alejandro, their artistry and friendship, as I treasure all my students, clients and readers. But man, this is something.
